Excerpt from an article in The Montana Standard

There is music in the air these days and we have a musician here in our fair city who has been dedicated all his life to the art of writing songs and performing music. A musician who believes in following one's dreams and believing in one's self strongly enough to devote the time and work to achieve goals set before him. That goal being to become a national recording artist. The musician I am speaking of is Leon Gulbronson, the driving force behind the band Songbird. Leon has just finished an Adult Contemporary Rock album titled: THIS PLACE IN TIME.. The album was recorded in Ogden, Utah just outside of Salt Lake City. This area has many fine music studios and one is Magic Sound Studios and Records in Ogden, Utah. Under the direction of a very close friend and recording engineer, Julian Operhal, a talented music artist in his own right, the album: This Place in Time was written and recorded. Taking a year and a half to complete, the album is a compilation of various styles in music. Lyrics and songs written by Leon with the help of friends who worked with him and performed on the album. Songs of Love, the beauty and sometimes bitter reality of nature and the elements, songs about following your heart through life's journey even when difficulty and struggle seems to turn you from believing in yourself and the path chosen. Songs about children and the love of a father towards his children. Inspirational songs promoting freedom and the unique individuality of each person to speak out with what a person believes in and the God given right to follow one's dreams no matter who you are. Songs of peace in our world, in our nation and within our own families . Shakespearean prose and reflecting on the magic of nature. The whimsical deception and fantasy of love portrayed in song. In a soft classic genre telling of light as being love and seeing each person as a light in our world of God's love. Folk songs in a patriotic theme. Spanish acoustical rock works moving as the wind through the trees. These are but a few highlights and definitions of the album: THIS PLACE IN TIME, of which Leon has devoted himself to. He speaks on having a wonderful gift and talent and loves his work, touching people through his written work and song. In his mind to touch the audience in a deep and special way is the essence of a completed work and performance. Leon remarks, "Completing a music work does not give you a I know it all attitude but only shows you how much you don't know! The self satisfaction of knowing you have done your best and faced the difficulties is a great reward in completing a music work. It gives one a great sense of pride in an effort well done. It's for me and the kids! Best yet it's knowing that a creative work coming from one self can someday be shared with the world and that is my ultimate goal to reach, touch and help people through my God given talent because surely it would go to waste if it were meant only to keep to myself!"
